As you train your pooch to stop dog barking, you’ll want to use these great tips to increase your chances of success. Remember that it’s important not to strike your dog since negative reinforcement is cruel and scientifically proven to be ineffective.
- Find out the times when your dog is most likely to bark so that you can identify the root of the problem. Is your dog barking when you’re not home? The cause may be loneliness. Does the barking start as people walk past your home? Look into boredom, fear, or a characteristic of the breed.
